• Manicure + Pedicure + Waxing + Hair Dying should be completed at least one day prior to your spray tan.
• Do NOT shave 24 hours prior to your spray tan
• SHOWER & EXFOLIATE at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, with a pH balancing scrub such as Norvell® Renewing Sunless Exfoliator™. Clear away any dry, dead skin cells to ensure the spray tan applies evenly. Focus on exfoliating areas such as knees, elbows and ankles
• Protect Your Skins’ pH Levels - Avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products, or in shower moisturizers. These products can neutralize the DHA bronzing reaction within the skin.

• Avoid applying anything to the skin that may act as a barrier between the sunless solution and the skin. Deep penetration of the solution is key to beautiful lasting color

NO:

• Lotion/Creams/Oils
• Perfumes
• Deodorant -Use sparingly if needed

• Remove any makeup prior to the sunless application
• Remove jewelry. 
• Wear undergarments to protect sensitive areas
• Apply Barrier Cream (provided) 

HOW TO APPLY BARRIER CREAM:

• Hands/Palms – in between fingers and knuckles
• Nails/Cuticles
• Feet/Back of Ankles – in between toes
• Knees
• Elbows

To avoid excess build-up in these areas and get a more natural-looking tan. Just be sure to blend the edges well for a natural fade line.

• Wear dark, loose clothing and avoid underwire bras to go home in.
• Wear open shoes, such as flip flops or sandals
• Do NOT sweat – don’t exercise until after your first rinse
• Avoid getting skin wet; rain, washing dishes, giving kids a bath.
• Wait to rinse the required amount of time-based on the solution you were sprayed with 
•       1-3 hours if Rapid Solution
•       12-24 hour if Clear/Venetian Bronzer
       Solution
• Rinse with cool/lukewarm water – not steaming hot shower, rinse until the water runs clear. NO SOAPS during initial rinse, the use of soap can inhibit the full development of DHA color. Important: Cosmetic instant bronzers will wash away during the first shower. 
• PAT dry gently with a towel
• After your first rinse, moisturize with a tan extender 2-3 times a day! 
• Hydrated skin will maintain your GLOWING tan!
• When showering after 24-hours, use only a mild pH balancing shower gel such as pH Balancing Shower Cleanser™. Refrain from using scrubs or high pH soaps as these will strip away your sunless color. No loofahs or scrubbing. Use sulfate-free products
• Avoid shaving if possible – if you must shave use a fresh razor with no strip/moisturizing bar on it and don’t use shaving cream
• Avoid Pools/Spas that utilize chlorine - can cause fading.
• Extend and build color between sessions with a daily application of Color Extending Pro-Long™  moisturizer.  Need Touch-ups? Use 4-Faces™ or any other Norvell® self-tanning product between full sessions.
